April 23rd - Symposium Day 2:

Located at The Kline Institute of Trial Advocacy (1200 Chestnut St., )Philadelphia, PA 19107. This main symposium will be packed-full of exciting sessions, a town-hall session, speed networking, and open networking opportunities!

Here are the sessions that you can look forward to this year:

  • Why the Work We Do Outlives Us
    • Keynote speaker Amy Padnani shares insights from her work on the obituaries desk of The New York Times and from her series, Overlooked, which tells the stories of remarkable women and others who changed the world but were never recognized in the newspaper of record. In exploring whose stories get told — and whose are left out — she reflects on why legacy matters, and how even the smallest acts of advocacy can ripple outward to create lasting structural change.

  • Unstoppable Solos - Owning Your Path, Your Pace, Your Practice
    • Intentionally choosing the path where you alone are responsible for 100% of your success is empowering. A panel of solo practitioners will let you know why and how they did it - sharing the advice they followed, challenges they overcame, technology they're using and what they enjoy most about being an unstoppable solo!

    • Panelists
      • Kathleen R. Fitzpatrick
      • Helene Pangalos
      • Jamie Lee Principe
      • Princess Uchekwe
  • Building Your Team to Scale and Grow: Creating a Firm You Can Trust To Run Without You
    • The perfectionist's paradox: you can't scale because you can't delegate, and you can't delegate because no one will do it as well as you. Join Andrea Vacca and Deborah Nilson - two law firm owners who've built successful practices in specialized niches - and business coach Ivy Slater for an honest conversation about what it really takes to build a team. They'll share the lessons they learned the hard way about the critical difference between delegation and abdication, how to create systems that enable others to succeed, what to look for when hiring people who represent your firm with excellence, and why structured communications keeps everyone aligned without constant oversight. If you're ready to stop being the bottleneck and start being the visionary, this session will show you how.

    • Panelists
      • Andrea Vacca
      • Deborah Nilson

  • Leveling the Playing Field: Practical AI Strategies for Small Law Firms
    • This dynamic panel moves beyond AI hype to deliver actionable strategies solo and small-firm attorneys can implement immediately. Through live demos and candid discussion, the speakers explore how voice AI can expand intake capacity without adding headcount, how to vet and pilot legal tech safely and cost-effectively, and how to leverage Big Law lessons in AI, SEO, and reputation management. Attendees will leave with practical, risk-aware insights to compete strategically, without Big Law budgets.
