Speaker Bio:

Susan Goodkind Wideman, is an elder law & estate planning attorney with over 25 years of experience serving clients throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In 2018, she was mentally and physically burned out from the way she had been practicing law, and stepped away to heal and reconnect with who she was when she enjoyed her lawyer life.

While working on her recovery she learned that disconnection, depression, and burnout were rampant in the legal profession, and she decided to use her experience to help other attorneys. Susan trained and certified as a mental fitness coach and started a coaching practice called Goodkind of Life, LLC., which has clients across the country.

Susan returned to the practice of law and is Of Counsel to the Heirloom Law Group, an estate planning & elder law practice serving Michigan and Wisconsin clients.

She has her B.S. degree from Cornell University and her J.D. from the Western Michigan University – Cooley Law School. Originally from New Jersey, she now lives in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she enjoys the long winters and beautiful summers on Lake Superior.
