Sometimes, we all need to go against the grain and do things that make us happier, more well-rounded and engaged.

About Lee Holcomb

Lee started her legal career in 1998 in Tennessee. In 2006, she made partner–and had her first child. When her husband took an overseas position with the U.S. State Department, Lee was at first reluctant to leave her firm. But her desire to have a second child led her to take a giant step. On December 23, 2006, with two small children, she boarded a plane to Poland.

But knowing something is right doesn’t make it easy. It may not surprise you that just months after leaving her job, she was already looking to get back to work. Lee missed her career. Shortly after she arrived in Warsaw, she started teaching yoga at the U.S. Embassy. Lee also began planning my return to the legal workforce. Her husband’s second assignment took them to India.

In Chennai, she took a position with an international Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) company that provides legal support services to large U.S.-based companies and law firms. Thus began her second legal career path, which would eventually lead her to become COO and Director of Legal Solutions.  Lee's time in India also allowed her to deepen her yoga practice with exposure to several classical yoga teachers including T.K.V. Desikachar, Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Saraswathi and Sharath Jois. She received my certification to teach yoga from the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Shala in 2010.

Lee is currently in the third stage of her career: as an author, speaker, consultant and yoga/wellness coach for stressed-out attorneys. Sometimes, we all need to go against the grain and do things that make us happier, more well-rounded and engaged. She has over fourteen years of experience as a yoga practitioner, and eight years as a certified yoga instructor.

Lee is an active member of the Idaho & Tennessee Bar Associations, the Idaho Technology Council, the Tennessee Lawyers Association for Women and Women Owned Law.  Her book Lifestyle Lawyer is available at Amazon and www.lifestyleforlawyers.com.
